Newcomer Settlement Program

Provides direct settlement services to newcomers. Services include:

• Assessment of newcomer settlement needs
• Information sessions
• Orientation in accessing government services and programs
• Referrals
• Counselling
• Facilitation
• Advocacy and support in the areas of housing, incoming maintenance, health, employment, child care, legal services, education, documentation, translations
• General assistance and supportive counselling, SIN applications, OHIP applications and immigration.

Citizen Preparation Classes

Held every moth for landed immigrants who need information on how to become Canadian Citizens. There is no fee charged for these classes. Resourceful information on Canadian citizenship and participation is also available.
