Office Assistant
Status: Full time 35 Hrs/Wk
Salary: $15.00/hr. + Mandatory Benefits
Location: Brampton
Accountability: Program Manager
Responsibilities: Provide Virtual Administrative support services
Duration: 8 Weeks (June 27th – August 20th 2022)
Duties:
Reception duties -Filing,-Sorting out mail -Welcoming agency clients
Photocopying documents -Internet search -Word processing -Office maintenance -Upkeep of agency records-Maintenance of office supplies.
Provide programming support to agency staff including assisting in workshop preparation, space set-up, collating workshop materials, developing workshop reports and evaluation forms
Assist in researching programming information, collating print and media resources
Input and update client files in database, ensure distribution of all promotional materials
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution and returning to school in September 2022
Have well-developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, partners, staff and volunteers
Have the ability to plan, organize and prioritize work activities; possess initiative and good judgment; work with little supervision and enjoy working as a team member in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated sensitivity to other cultures and ability to outreach to newcomers
Demonstrated commitment to and awareness of the Peel community resources.
Strong desire and willingness to learn

Outreach Assistant

Responsibilities: Provide Virtual Outreach support services
Duration: 8 Weeks (June 27th – August 19th2022)
Duties:
Assist Program Coordinators in:
· Developing and implementing outreach strategies for ACS programs
· Identifying relevant community events and coordinating participation in these events
· Coordinating online outreach activities, including social media and website updates
· Coordinating production and distribution of promotional materials
· Actively reaching out to community groups and organizations to explore partnership
· opportunities
· Contributing to communications, outreach and marketing activities as required
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Youth Worker Assistant
Status: Full time35 Hrs/Wk
Salary: $15.00/hr. + Mandatory Benefits

Responsibilities: Provide Virtual Youth Worker Assistant services
Duration: 8 Weeks (June 27th – August 19th2022)
Duties
Provide virtually appropriate supportive counseling, referrals and information to youth
Conduct outreach to target youth population
Assist in the design, facilitation and evaluation of virtual project activities
Engage youth on Face-Book and other social media platforms
Assist in developing and distributing promotional brochures and flyers
Conduct promotion and outreach for youth programs
Develop a youth Programs account on twitter.com to engage youth on youth issues
Assist in coordinating virtual summer youth recreational activities
Assist in researching, planning and delivering educational workshops for youth
Liaise and network with local area schools, community partners and youth groups for promotion and outreach purposes
Represent ACS at community meetings and events
Perform other relevant duties as required and as assigned.
Qualifications:
College or University student returning to school in September 2022
Some experience in youth programming, promotion, outreach and recruitment
Knowledge of relevant community resources for in Peel
Strong ability to relate to well to, engage and motivate youth
Ability to plan and organize recreational programs and activities for youth
An outgoing personality with good communication skills
Strong sensitivity to issues facing immigrant youth and their families
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member
